2016 Bob Kaufman Book Prize
The selected manuscript will be published in 2016. Our guest judge this year is Megan Kaminski.
Megan Kaminski is the author of two books: Deep City (Noemi Press, 2015) and Desiring Map (Coconut Books, 2012). She is an assistant professor in the Graduate Creative Writing Program at the University of Kansas and the 2015-2016 Creative Work Fellow at the Hall Center for the Humanities. She lives in Lawrence Kansas, where she curates of the Taproom Poetry Series.
Book Prize Submissions will open Oct. 15, 2015 and close Jan. 15, 2016 . Winner will be announced in April 2016.
Manuscripts should be at least 80 pages long not including any table of contents, acknowledgements or dedication pages. There is a 20.00 reading fee.

2016 BOB KAUFMAN BOOK PRIZE WINNER
Our 2016 Guest Judge Megan Kaminski has selected Irène Mathieu’s orogeny for our 2016 Bob Kaufman Book Prize.
Irène Mathieu is a pediatrician and writer based in Philadelphia. Her poetry, prose, and photography can be found in The Caribbean Writer, The Lindenwood Review, Muzzle Magazine, qarrtsiluni, Extract(s), Diverse Voices Quarterly, Los Angeles Review, Callaloo Journal, Jet Fuel Review, Lime Hawk and elsewhere. She holds a BA in International Relations from the College of William & Mary and a MD from Vanderbilt University, and has been a Pushcart Prize nominee, a Callaloo fellow, and a Fulbright scholar. She is a contributing author on the Global Health Hub blog and editor for the humanities section of the Journal of General Internal Medicine. Her poetry chapbook, the galaxy of origins, was published in 2014 by dancing girl press.
